Venue 5 is a restuarant with a banqueting suite attached. When the banqueting suite isn't hired out for private functions they do "dinner and dance" events open to the public for around £25 an adult.
The food here is halal by default, but you can request non-halal, which is what I did. Overall I was impressed by the food, service (had a great waiter) and decor. Thumbs up.
Next place I'll be checking out is Ruby M's in Rayners Lane. Will keep you posted....
Hi - This is for people who, for whatever reason, wish to find non halal Indian restaurants in London. Please let me state that this is not an anti any religion blog.
I had to organise a meal for friends, my dilemma was that some didn't eat halal whilst some didn't care either way. Several resources already list halal restaurants but I struggled to get information on non halal ones.
Please post me a comment of any restaurants that you know of.

Spice Rack, Stanmore [halal]
Spice Rack Lounge is a lively large restaurant/bar which cranks up the music as the night goes on and people hit the dance floor. The music is quite a mix; hindi, bhangra, R&B and even some drum and bass!
I called and was told that all the food is halal, except the vegetables (seriously that's what he said).
I'd still visit this place for a night out of music and drinks.
